Musical Background
Started with clarinet in junior high school. Switched to alto sax in high school. Played sax with college band and two stage bands through college (1960-1964). Played with country swing groups (6 pieces), 1965-1967. Played baritone sax and bass clarinet while teaching at college level (1199760. Returned to instrument in 2002. Now playing with Swingtime Revival Orchestra, the Barlett Community Concert Band. Loves “big band” music—30’s through today, especially Kenton and Basie.
